Youth Exchanges

Erasmus+ Youth Exchange? What is it?

An Erasmus+ Youth Exchange is an international learning opportunity that brings together young people from different countries to explore cultural differences, build skills, and tackle important social issues through hands-on activities. In these exchanges, groups of young people (usually aged 13-30) from multiple countries come together for a short period, usually between 5 and 21 days, in a host country. This is a chance to learn in an informal way, outside the classroom—participants engage in workshops, outdoor activities, discussions, role-playing, and other forms of non-formal education.

Youth Exchanges focus on a wide range of topics, such as cultural diversity, environmental sustainability, democratic participation, digital skills, and much more. The international setting also allows participants to experience a new culture firsthand, connect with peers from other countries, and develop a more global perspective. These exchanges are supported by Erasmus+ and are often fully or partially funded, making it easier for young people from diverse backgrounds to join. For more details, you can visit the official Erasmus+ page.
