Gender Bias: Which is My Role? Let’s Talk About Our Preparatory Visit

Fiorenzuola, Italy

Four of us, Julia, Kasia, Anna, and Jurgita, representing four different countries – Portugal, Poland, Greece, and Spain – came to prepare for the youth exchange “Gender Bias: Which is My Role?”.

Visiting the charming Fiorenzuola, we had a chance to get to know each other, Sciara Progetti, and the local community. At the same time, we dived deeper into the project, discussed the schedule, logistics, and dissemination process.

“I was excited to come to Fiorenzuola to take part in a PV, it is my first one. To be honest I’m not an expert in a topic of gender bias and stereotypes connected with it but isn’t it even better that I’ll be able to gain new knowledge from our facilitators and people from all over the Europe? I love sharing experience with others and talk about different perspectives!” – says Kasia, one of the participants.

Even though we spent together only two days, we connected immediately, created safe space, and we could fully engage in the preparation of the project. Of course, over these days we tried Italian cuisine, but also for a second felt as a part of this wonderful community.

We cannot wait to come back again to Morfasso for the youth exchange in June and share this experience with other participants!
