Busteni, Romania

In May team of participants from Spain took part in an Erasmus+ youth exchange in Romania! 🇷🇴 How did it go? Here’s Laura’s experience.

“We had the opportunity to learn more about critical thinking thanks to the project of Mythbuster in Romania.

During this project I learned how to identify different bias, methods on critical thinking and identifying fake news, and the use of AI. In addition, we discussed different perspectives with other young Europeans, with participants from Poland, Serbia, Italy, Latvia, Czech Republic, Greece and Romania. Furthermore, we discussed the role of social media in misinformation among the youth.

During the time in Busteni, we also experienced more about Romanian culture and other European countries, including the organization of cultural nights of the different countries participanting, where we also got a taste of regional European cuisines.

Hosted in the beautiful Carpathian Mountains, we discovered the surroundings of Busteni, with a special visit to Dracula’s castle.”

In June, as part of their follow-up activities, the Spanish team hosted an online session to share what they learned and experienced during the project.
